Litho Printing
Within the print room there is a wealth of presses, all Heidelberg: one 10 x 15 letterpress platen, one Heidelberg SB 540 x 770 cylinder, one Speedmaster 52 two-colour and the five-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster 74.
The five-colour press is a magnificent machine: it can print five-colour straight at up to 15,000 sheets per hour. Sheet size is up to 740 x 530mm, with sheet weights ranging from 40gsm airmail to 600 micron board. Both Speedmasters with Alcolor damping and CPC controls to handle the most demanding jobs, from large heavy solids to fine screen work. Online colour controls mean the press matches the proof within a few sheets, and the Speedmaster 52 have a full numbering and perforating facility.
The two colour Speedmaster 52 press handles a B3 sheet for shorter runs of excellent quality.
